Yes, we would love to be to assist your organisation or group with demonstration sites. This could range from un-replicated plots to demonstrate how different products perform, to large paddock strips. Or if you want to go all out, we could also conduct a replicated trial and crunch the numbers statistically for you.

Yes, Mark has previously worked as a field research manager for a major fertiliser supplier in eastern Australia. He was responsible for screening new technologies in the field, that aimed to improve the nutrient use efficiency of conventional granular fertilisers. Mark enjoys working with plant nutrition products, and would enjoy speaking to you about your field research requirements.

Yes, we are able to conduct research with these products as well. Conducting trials with biological based products, or products that are used to improve plant health are difficult to work with. Adequate controls within each trial is critical to ensure valid conclusions about the performance of these products. So yes, let’s start the conversation about your trial requirements.

It is difficult to put a price on the cost of conducting a field trial. It can vary greatly depending on the crop and location of the trial, how many applications and assessments are required. We would be happy to discuss your trial ideas and provide you with a no obligation quote.

OptiAg is striving to provide an optimised agricultural research service. But what does this mean? OptiAg isn’t a large contractor with many employees. In fact, the person you speak to on the phone is the person that does the field work, field assessments, data analysis and report writing. So you know that when you are speaking to Mark, you are speaking with the person that knows all aspects of your work. Mark also has over 10 years experience in agricultural research, and has completed a PhD in agronomy and soil science. He has worked in the academic, private and corporate environments and is now the principal research agronomist at OptiAg.

OptiAg uses the latest version of ARM, so we are able to accept your company customisations and supply the ARM file with data and report if this is how you would like to receive your data and report.

Yes, we have previously been involved in managing a pasture variety trial network (PVTN) site and are able to conduct pasture trials to maintain trial accreditation. We have lawn mowers, and a drying oven for dry matter determination.

Within 2-3 hours we are able to find a wide range of winter crops. Winter crops include wheat, barley, canola, lupins, field peas, lentils and faba beans.

We are centrally located between many of the key horticultural regions on Victoria. Within 2-3 hours we are able to find almonds, apples, pears, nectarines, peaches, table and wine grapes, potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, asian vegetables and many more.
